Love was an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The group was led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Arthur Lee and gained recognition as one of the most influential bands of the 1960s psychedelic rock scene. Their 1967 album "Forever Changes" is widely considered a masterpiece of the genre. The band went through several lineup changes over the years, with Arthur Lee remaining the only constant member. Love's music blended elements of folk, psychedelia, and proto-punk, influencing many later artists. The band disbanded in the late 1970s, though Arthur Lee continued to perform and record under the Love name sporadically in later years.
