The Jean Paul Sartre Experience
The Jean Paul Sartre Experience is an indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 2009, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Adam Gnade, bassist Matt Carle, and drummer Matt Schulz. Their music is characterized by its jangly guitars, catchy melodies, and introspective lyrics. The band has released three albums to date, including "Bleeding Star" (2011), "The Size of Food" (2014), and "Love Songs" (2017). They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and have shared the stage with bands such as The National, Yo La Tengo, and Real Estate.
