Varego

Varego is an Italian metal band hailing from Arenzano, Genoa. Formed in 2009, the group has made a name for themselves in the metal scene with their unique sound and critically acclaimed releases. Their name is an Italianization of the Genoese word "avaregau," meaning "poisoned," which refers to a toxic herb found near Genoa.

The band's lineup includes Alberto Pozzo and Gerolamo Lucisano on guitars, Davide Marcenaro on vocals, Simon Lepore on drums, and Marco "Red" Damonte on bass. Varego has released several albums and EPs over the years, including "Tumultum" (2012), "Blindness of the Sun" EP (2013), and "Phantasma" (2015). Their music continues to evolve, with recent releases like "Macchie" and "Peste Bianca" in 2023.
