Emanuel Gruber

Emanuel Gruber is a Romanian-born Israeli cellist who has made a name for himself as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and teacher. He’s known for his expressive playing and deep musical sensitivity, earning praise from outlets like the Jerusalem Post, which called him “one of our great artists.” Gruber has performed at major festivals around the world, collaborated with renowned musicians such as Neville Marriner, Rudolf Barshai, and Janos Starker, and held principal positions with orchestras including the Israel Chamber Orchestra and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. He’s also been a member of several celebrated ensembles, such as the Sequoia Quartet and the Israel Cello Ensemble.

Gruber’s recordings span a wide range of repertoire, from classical masterpieces by Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Beethoven to Jewish-themed works.
