Bilkent Symphony Orchestra

The Bilkent Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is Turkey's first private and academic ensemble, founded in 1993 by Bilkent University. Composed of distinguished artists who are also members of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts at Bilkent University, the orchestra performs about fifty concerts annually. It has recorded more than 40 CDs for prestigious labels such as EMI, CPO, and Naxos, and has participated in numerous international festivals. The BSO is known for its rich repertoire and initiatives like the Bilkent Symphony Digital and Turkish Composers Week, aiming to enrich Turkey's cultural life. It was named a UNICEF Turkey Goodwill Ambassador in 2009.

The orchestra's recent releases include a variety of classical music albums, such as "Archive Edition, Vol. 24," "Romantic Melodies," and "Scriabin & Rimsky-Korsakov: Piano Concertos," showcasing its versatility and commitment to classical music. With its extensive touring and collaborations with international guest stars, the BSO has become one of Turkey's most prominent ensembles.
