Jessica Lea Mayfield is a Kent, Ohio native whose emotionally resonant songwriting and distinctive alt-country sound have earned her a respected place in the indie music scene. Born on August 27, 1989, Jessica began performing with her family's bluegrass band One Way Rider at the tender age of eight. By age 15, she had recorded her first EP "White Lies" under the name Chittlin', showcasing her early aptitude for crafting poignant lyrical narratives set to haunting melodies.

Mayfield's full-length solo debut, "With Blasphemy So Heartfelt" (2008), produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, was met with critical acclaim and uncovered her as a raw and authentic voice. Her follow-up records, such as "Tell Me" (2011), "Make My Head Sing..." (2014), and "Sorry Is Gone" (2017), further established her as a songwriter capable of exploring the depths of the human experience with honesty and vulnerability. Notably, her collaboration with Seth Avett, "Seth Avett & Jessica Lea Mayfield Sing Elliott Smith" (2015), was a heartfelt tribute to the late singer-songwriter, highlighting Jessica's ability to interpret and deliver complex emotions through song.
