Kyle, whose full name is Kyle Thomas Harvey and is also known mononymously as Kyle or SuperDuperKyle, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor from Ventura, California. Born May 18, 1993, in Los Angeles, Kyle grew up in Ventura and first made waves with his infectious, upbeat music and positive energy. He’s best known for his breakout 2016 hit “iSpy” featuring Lil Yachty, which climbed to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but he’s also released mixtapes like Space Animals (2013) and This Is Water (2011), bringing a playful, introspective style to the West Coast rap scene.
Kyle’s creative journey started early: he performed in improv troupes and recorded songs in his bedroom, eventually warming up for touring acts at local venues before making it big. Besides “iSpy,” he’s collaborated with major artists such as Kehlani, G-Eazy, and Chance the Rapper, and he’s considered a fresh, fun-loving voice in hip-hop who’s never afraid to keep it real. His debut studio album Light of Mine dropped in 2018 and was well-received, and he even tried his hand at acting with a role in the Netflix original film The After Party.
