Villainy

Villainy is a New Zealand-based alternative rock band that emerged from the rich musical landscape of Auckland. Since their formation, they have carved out a distinctive niche within the rock scene with their intriguing fusion of hard-edged riffs, thoughtful lyricism, and an undeniably energetic presence. The band consists of James Dylan on bass, Dave Johnston on drums and Thom Watts on guitar, with Neill Fraser leading as the vocalist and guitarist, each member contributing to the group's cohesive and dynamic sound.

With a discography showcasing their evolution as artists, Villainy has captured the attention of rock enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. Their release "Dead Sides (the lost EP)" and the "Beggar EP" serve as a testament to their raw and unadulterated approach to music, while the singles such as "The Launch", remixed by TREi, "Raised In The Dark", and "Uncomfortable" demonstrate their ability to transcend traditional rock boundaries, incorporating elements that appeal to a wider audience. Anthems like "Dreams" and "IFXS" consolidate their reputation for delivering relatable themes and rousing choruses, while the poignancy of songs like "Tiny Little Island" reveals the more introspective and emotive aspect of their songwriting. Throughout their journey, Villainy continues to defy expectations, offering a visceral and authentic soundtrack to the lives of their fans.
