Manuel Lange

Manuel Lange is a Berlin-based pianist who has established himself as one of Germany's most respected lied accompanists. After completing his studies with renowned pianists Oleg Maisenberg and Hans Leygraf, Lange has performed at major concert halls and opera houses across Europe, including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Vienna Musikverein, La Scala in Milan, and the Paris Opéra Comique. He's collaborated with celebrated singers like Anne Schwanewilms, Mojca Erdmann, and Sibylla Rubens, and has appeared at prestigious festivals including the Baden-Baden Summer Festival and the Ruhrtriennale.

Beyond his concert career, Lange has made significant contributions to music education and cultural promotion. In 2006, he co-founded the MEISTERLIED concert series in Berlin, dedicated to German romantic Lied, and spent six years as a professor of vocal repertoire at Berlin University of the Arts before joining Detmold University of Music as a professor of lied interpretation. He's also an accomplished recording artist with numerous CD releases featuring classical vocal repertoire. Lange lives in Berlin with his family and is the twin brother of composer Marius Felix Lange.
