João Lourenço Rebelo was a Portuguese composer and organist of the Renaissance and early Baroque periods. He was born in 1610 in Estremoz, Portugal, and died in 1661 in Lisbon. Rebelo was a prolific composer, writing over 200 works, including masses, motets, psalms, and instrumental pieces. His music is characterized by its rich harmonies, complex rhythms, and expressive melodies.
