Adriana Partimpim

Adriana Partimpim is a playful alter ego of Brazilian singer Adriana Calcanhotto, created as a way to explore children’s music with a creative, whimsical twist. Adopting the name “Partimpim” — which was actually Calcanhotto's childhood nickname — she launched a series of albums that blend poetic lyrics, inventive arrangements, and a childlike sense of wonder. The project kicked off with the self-titled album Adriana Partimpim in 2004 and continued with follow-ups like Partimpim Dois and Partimpim Tlês.

With the Partimpim project, Adriana brings her signature artistry and lyrical flair to a younger audience, though adults often find themselves equally enchanted. The songs often combine playfulness and sophistication, incorporating elements from Brazilian pop (MPB), samba, and experimental sounds. Known for tracks like “O Quarto” and “Palavras Mágicas,” Adriana Partimpim has carved out a unique niche in Brazilian children’s music while maintaining broad appeal.
