Les Ékorchés

Les Ékorchés was a Canadian band from Montréal, Quebec, blending genres such as sludge metal, progressive metal, and hardcore punk. Formed in 2006, the group released their self-titled debut album in February 2007, followed by *IV Démons* in 2009 and *Frères de sang* in 2010. The band's lineup included notable figures like Michel "Away" Langevin, known for his work with Voivod, as well as Marc Vaillancourt, Pat Gordon, and Philippe Mius d'Entremont. Their unique sound often incorporated acoustic instruments in amplified and distorted forms, giving them a distinctive edge in the metal scene.

The band's discography reflects a blend of heavy music styles with a strong emphasis on live performance and innovative instrumentation. While their music was enjoyed by a niche audience, Les Ékorchés maintained a loyal following in the underground metal scene. Unfortunately, the band appears to have disbanded around 2017, marking the end of this innovative musical project.
