Mithras

Mithras is a UK-based extreme metal band known for their signature blend of death metal, spacey atmospherics, and progressive songwriting. Formed in the late 1990s by Leon Macey and Rayner Coss, the band quickly gained attention in the underground metal scene for their technical yet expansive sound, often characterized as "cosmic" or "sci-fi" death metal. Their debut album, "Forever Advancing... Legions," released in 2002, laid the groundwork for their otherworldly aesthetic, which they continued to develop across subsequent releases like "Worlds Beyond the Veil" and "Behind the Shadows Lie Madness."

Mithras' music combines brutal riffing, intricate drumming, and ethereal guitar work, creating a unique identity that stands out in the extreme metal landscape.
