Diablo Blvd

Diablo Blvd is a Belgian heavy metal band that was formed in Antwerp in 2005. Named after a Corrosion of Conformity song, the band blended various elements of metal, rock, and hard rock, resulting in a unique and compelling sound. The group was led by vocalist Alex Agnew, who is also a well-known stand-up comedian in Belgium. Diablo Blvd's music is characterized by powerful riffs, a strong rhythm section, and Agnew's deep, commanding voice, with themes often exploring darkness, social commentary, and personal struggle.

Over the years, Diablo Blvd released several albums that earned them a dedicated following within the rock and metal community. Their most recent work includes "Zero Hour" - a dark political commentary released in 2017 that showcases the band's knack for combining melody with gruff intensity. Earlier releases such as "The Greater God," "Builders of Empires," and "Follow the Deadlights" display the band’s evolution in sound and thematic complexity. "Rise Like Lions" and its companion piece, "Rise Like Lions (Trix Sessions)," represent the pinnacle of their live performance energy and their ability to connect with fans on stage. Despite their growing success, Diablo Blvd announced in 2018 that they would disband following a farewell show in December, leaving a legacy of impactful heavy metal music that resonated with fans across the globe.
