Ivy Lab

Ivy Lab is an innovative electronic music duo formed in 2013, originating from the UK, and composed of producers Sabre (Gove Kidao) and Stray (J. Fogel). Originally a trio with member Halogenix (Laurence Reading) until his departure in 2018, Ivy Lab has since continued as a duo, pushing the boundaries of bass music and earning acclaim for their unique blend of experimental, hip-hop-infused electronica. They first burst onto the scene with their critically acclaimed '20/20' LP, which solidified their reputation as pioneers of the 'halftime' drum and bass subgenre.

Ivy Lab's creative output often transcends conventional genre constraints, expertly weaving elements from a diverse sound palette that includes everything from trap to footwork to ambient textures. Their most recent releases, including "Idols Fall / Snap 101" and "Demon Dust," showcase their signature blend of gritty basslines, intricate rhythms, and atmospheric synths, continuing to solidify their status as avant-garde tastemakers within the electronic music community. With tracks like "Backshifting" and "Ghost x Dead Signal," they enforce their ability to craft immersive soundscapes that resonate on both intellectual and visceral levels, while remixes like "EVERYTHINGSALRIGHT (Ivy Lab Remix)" display their masterful reinterpretation of existing works, confirming their position as influential artists in the ever-evolving landscape of electronic music.
