Swami John Reis

**Swami John Reis** is a San Diego punk rock lifer who’s been shredding guitars and belting raw vocals since the late ’80s. Best known as the co-founder of raucous bands like Rocket from the Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, and Hot Snakes, Reis has spent decades perfecting his signature blend of frenetic energy and surf-punk swagger. When he’s not touring or recording, he runs Swami Records, a label that’s become a hub for gritty, unfiltered rock ’n’ roll. Recent years have seen him reignite Hot Snakes, dropping fiery tracks like *Time To Let You Down* and *Fed To The Dogs* (from their 2023 album *All Of This Awaits You*), proving he’s still a master of chaotic, riff-driven anthems.
