Dead Skeletons

Dead Skeletons are an enigmatic band hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, known for their unique blend of psychedelic rock and spiritual undercurrents. Formed in 2008 by artist and musician Jón Sæmundur Auðarson (also known as Nonni Dead), the group quickly garnered a cult following with their hypnotic music and transcendent themes. Auðarson, diagnosed with HIV in the 1990s, uses his art and the band's music as a platform for exploring life, death, and the human experience, delivering a powerful statement about the preciousness of existence.

With a back catalog that includes the entrancing singles "Dead Mantra" and "Dead Magick," and the compelling albums like "Dead Comet" and "Orð," Dead Skeletons have firmly planted themselves in the international psych-rock scene. Their live performances, such as the one captured on the "Live in Berlin" record, are renowned for being other-worldly events that are both visually and sonically mesmerizing. As much a collective of artists as a band, Dead Skeletons continue to push the boundaries of music and art, offering a mystical journey to their listeners that go beyond mere entertainment, into the realms of spiritual awakening with releases such as "Buddha-Christ", embodying their mantra "He who fears death cannot enjoy life."
