Stephane Salerno

Stephane Salerno is a versatile Swiss musician and DJ with a rich background in both electronic and world music. He began his journey with the electric guitar at age 12, turned professional at 21, and embarked on a European tour with renowned guitarist Fred Frith. Over years of collaboration and exploration, Salerno has worked alongside notable musicians such as Albert Marcoeur, Famodou Konaté, Sidiki Yayo, and Mahama Konaté, delving into instruments like oud, ney, santur, and saz, as well as percussion from Guinea and the traditions of flamenco and Indian music. Today, his work spans roles as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, sound engineer, and producer, blending house, deep house, and techno with global influences, as reflected in his recent releases—tracks like "Papaya" (YAME Remix), "Zanaga," and "Madifayou" showcase his dynamic, genre-fusing approach.
