Indecision

Indecision was a hardcore punk band instrumental in shaping the New York hardcore scene during the 1990s. Emerging from the melting pot of Brooklyn, the group was known for their intense energy, socially conscious lyrics, and their penchant for blending metal influences into their hardcore sound. Indecision's lineup frequently changed, but was anchored by guitarist Justin Brannan and drummer Pat Flynn, with Tom Sheehan and later Artie Philie handling vocal duties.

Their discography includes a string of impactful releases that won them a dedicated following both locally and internationally. "Unorthodox," released in 1996, set the tone for the group's approach to hardcore, unafraid to question religious dogma and societal norms. "Most Precious Blood" (1998) continued this trend, probing deeper into personal and political themes. This was followed by "To Live and Die in New York City" (1999), an homage to their home city, illustrating the often gritty and challenging reality of urban life. "Release the Cure" (1999) and "If These Streets Could Talk" (2000) further cemented their legacy with powerful riffs and raw, emotive storytelling. Despite breaking up in the early 2000s, Indecision remains a revered name in the hardcore scene, with their works influencing numerous bands and their messages still resonating with fans around the world.
