Pattern-Seeking Animals is an American prog-rock project that emerged as a talented quartet brimming with creativity and experience in the domain of progressive rock music. Created by long-time collaborators and members of the band Spock's Beard, the group was formed by John Boegehold, a producer and contributing songwriter for Spock's Beard, who sought to forge a new outlet for his musical expressions. Joining Boegehold were Spock's Beard alumni Ted Leonard on vocals and guitar, Dave Meros on bass, and Jimmy Keegan on drums - each an accomplished musician with a rich history in the genre.

Pattern-Seeking Animals made a significant splash in the prog-rock scene with their eponymous debut album released in 2019, followed by the ambitious and expansive "Prehensile Tales" in 2020.
