Mads Wighus is a Norwegian tenor known for his dynamic transition from baritone to tenor roles over recent years. He studied at both Barratt Due Institute of Music and Oslo Academy of the Arts, later joining the Young Artist Program at the National Opera of Norway in 2009. After years performing diverse baritone parts across Norwegian opera stages, he debuted as a tenor in roles such as Rodolfo in *La bohème* and Pinkerton in *Madama Butterfly*. Beyond opera, Wighus is a versatile concert singer, performing genres ranging from pop and crossover to church music and lieder, and he also composes his own music. His multifaceted talent has earned him several awards, including the Talent Prize from the Norwegian Opera's friends association.
He was born and raised in Trondheim and has gradually established himself within Norway’s music scene. His recent recordings include releases like *Worth While* (2025) and singles such as *Time Flies* and *Eazy Money*, showcasing his expanding artistic range beyond classical music into new musical territories.
