Swearing At Motorists

Swearing at Motorists is a scrappy indie rock outfit hailing from Dayton, Ohio, founded in 1995 by singer-guitarist Dave Doughman. What started as a solo project quickly evolved into a dynamic duo when drummer Joseph Siwinski joined the fray, delivering a raw, lo-fi sound that's equal parts punk energy and heartfelt storytelling. Drawing inspiration from local heroes like Guided by Voices, they've built a cult following with their DIY ethos and relentless touring, cranking out tunes that capture the highs and lows of everyday life with wit and grit.

Over the years, they've dropped a string of beloved albums like "This Flag Signals Goodbye" (2002), "Last Night Becomes This Morning" (2006), and more recent gems such as "While Laughing, The Joker Tells The Truth" (2014) and "Postcards From A Drinking Town" (2017). Their music often feels like a late-night conversation with an old friend—intimate, unpolished, and full of surprises—making them a hidden gem in the underground rock scene.
