Terry Hanck

Terry Hanck is a veteran saxophonist and singer known for his soulful blend of blues, R&B, and early rock 'n' roll. Originally hailing from Chicago but long based in California, Hanck first gained widespread recognition as a key member of Elvin Bishop’s band in the 1970s, contributing his fiery saxophone work to hits like “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.” With his own band, Hanck has built a strong reputation for high-energy live performances and heartfelt, horn-driven blues, often peppered with boogie-woogie and swing influences.

As a solo artist, Terry Hanck has released a number of acclaimed albums, including Grease to Gravy, I Still Get Excited, and Look Out!, showcasing both his gritty vocals and dynamic saxophone style. He's also a multiple Blues Music Award winner and remains an active touring artist, known for engaging crowds with his charismatic stage presence. Whether belting out a soulful ballad or tearing through a raucous sax solo, Hanck’s deep roots in American roots music always shine through.
