The Charter Choir of Homerton College, Cambridge, is one of the newest college choirs in Cambridge, known for its high standard of music-making and diverse repertoire. Directed by Dr. Daniel Trocmé-Latter, the choir performs a wide range of choral music from medieval to 21st-century compositions. Their repertoire includes music for Anglican Evensong services, as well as secular pieces performed at end-of-term concerts and College feasts. The choir has released several commercial recordings, including *Audite Finem* (2014), *Till all the place with music ring* (2019), and *Psalms, Stars & Light* (2024), which feature some of Dr. Trocmé-Latter's own compositions.
The Charter Choir is not only musically accomplished but also offers a fulfilling experience for its members, fostering a sense of camaraderie through regular rehearsals, performances, and social events like Formal Hall and annual tours. Recent highlights include performances at St Paul’s Cathedral and a tour to Iceland. The choir's commitment is relatively light compared to other Cambridge choirs, averaging about four hours per week, yet it maintains a high level of musical excellence.
