Popsicle

**Popsicle** was a Swedish indie pop band formed in Piteå, Sweden, that became a key part of the 1990s Swedish indiepop wave alongside groups like This Perfect Day and The Wannadies. Active under the Popsicle name starting in 1991, they released six studio albums including *Lacquer* (1992), *Abstinence* (1994), and their self-titled record *Popsicle* (1996), blending boisterous, Anglophile-inspired melodies with emotionally charged lyrics. Their 1995 single *Not Forever* became a major hit, solidifying their status as one of Sweden’s most popular indie acts before their initial breakup in 1999. They briefly reunited in 2005 for a farewell concert and compilation release *The Good Side Of Popsicle*, showcasing their catalog of tracks like *Hey Princess*, *Dusty Roads*, and *The Price We Pay*.

**Note:** A separate South Korean sub-unit named Popsicle exists under the group The BOSS, but the above information refers specifically to the Swedish band associated with the listed discography.
