Gubbi

Gubbi, whose real name is Karthik Sundar Gubbi, is a notable figure in the contemporary Indian hip-hop scene. He is based in Bengaluru and is known for his versatility as a rapper, lyricist, and composer. Notably, Gubbi predominantly raps in Kannada, the native language of Karnataka. Before becoming a full-time musician, he pursued a degree in mechanical engineering and even worked with Mercedes for a while, during which he learned German. Gubbi is also recognized for his love of sneakers, particularly Adidas.

Gubbi has collaborated with several artists, including Justin Prabhakaran, Ananya Bhat, Sanjith Hegde, MC Bijju, and Aniruddha Sastry. One of his standout collaborations is "Punaraagamana" with Ananya Bhat, which showcases his ability to blend traditional Indian music with modern hip-hop. Another notable collaboration is the "Comrade Anthem" with Justin Prabhakaran, known for its energetic vibe and diverse musical styles.
