Ivari Ilja

Ivari Ilja is an Estonian pianist born on May 3, 1959, in Tallinn. He studied piano at the Tallinn State Conservatoire and later at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire under esteemed professors Vera Gornostayeva and Sergey Dorensky. Ilja is renowned as an accompanist and ensemble musician, having collaborated with notable artists like Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Irina Arkhipova. His performances have graced some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall and La Scala in Milan. Beyond his career as a performer, Ilja serves as the Rector of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and has held various administrative roles in the Estonian music community.

Ivari Ilja's repertoire is rich with Romantic music, featuring works by Chopin, Brahms, and Schumann, among others. He has also been recognized for his contributions to Estonian music, holding positions such as Chairman of the Board of the Estonian Association of Professional Musicians and President of the Estonian Music Council.
