The London Gabrieli Brass Ensemble

The London Gabrieli Brass Ensemble is Britain's longest-established brass group, formed in 1963 by three Royal College of Music trombone students. Over the years, they have become renowned for their diverse repertoire, performing in thirty-six countries across five continents. The ensemble has released numerous recordings, including works such as *The Splendour of Baroque Brass*, *Antique Brasses: Original Brass Music on Period Instruments*, and *From the Steeples & the Mountains: American Music for Brass*. They are known for their pioneering efforts in recording brass music, starting with *Royal Brass Music of King James I* in 1965. The ensemble has collaborated with various conductors and has been involved in projects like the Antique Brasses Project, which aims to revive early nineteenth-century brass music using period instruments.
