He began studying piano at the age of eight and developed a passion for singer-songwriters like De André, Guccini, and Fossati during his high school years, which inspired him to start writing his own songs. In his youth, he performed with various bands and took part in several music contests, gaining early recognition in 1993 at Sanremo Giovani with the song "La voce degli ubriachi." This success led to his participation in the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994 and 1995, where he performed songs like "Senti uomo" and "Padre e padrone," establishing his presence in the Italian music scene. Over time, Giò expanded his artistic horizons by studying acting and engaging in musical theater, merging his singing and acting talents. He also works as a music educator focused on musical theater.
