Canvas of Silence

Canvas of Silence is a Finnish prog-influenced, female vocal-driven metal band that began as a solo project by guitarist and songwriter Tatu Hanhikoski before evolving into a full band featuring Aino on vocals. They have garnered attention for their dark, emotionally charged sound blending modern metalcore and progressive metal elements. Their 2025 debut album *As the World Tree Fell* has been praised as a symphonic masterpiece with rich storytelling, powerful vocals, and professional production, making it a standout in both progressive and metal circles.

Not to be confused with the Indian prog rock band Rainburn who released an EP titled *Canvas of Silence* in 2014, this Finnish band’s more recent releases include singles like "Drown," "Humanimal," and "One With The Wind," showcasing their heavier and more progressive sound that has elevated their profile on the international scene.
