Jazz Funk Soul

Jazz Funk Soul is an accomplished ensemble that marries the intricate and expressive worlds of jazz, funk, and soul music to create a distinctive sound marked by fluid improvisation and captivating grooves. The trio is composed of three luminary figures in the jazz world: keyboardist Jeff Lorber, who is renowned for his innovative fusion work and is a Grammy Award winner; guitarist Chuck Loeb, who was a revered figure in contemporary jazz until his passing in 2017 and was known for his articulate and melodious playing as well as his production skills; and saxophonist Everette Harp, who brings a soulful richness and spirited energy to the mix, perfectly complementing the group with his vibrant playing.

Since their self-titled debut album "Jazz Funk Soul" released in 2014, the group has continued to expand their musical conversation, building on their individual legacies while exploring the synergies of their combined talents. Their subsequent albums such as "More Serious Business," "Life And Times," and the uplifting "Windfall" showcase the band delving deeper into a cohesive sound that’s both accessible and intricate, engaging both hardcore jazz aficionados and those new to the genre. With their dynamic performances and seamless integration of musical styles, Jazz Funk Soul captures the essence of their name and breathes fresh life to the contemporary jazz scene.
