**Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy** were the legendary Tamil film music duo of M. S. Viswanathan (MSV) and T. K. Ramamoorthy, who shaped the sound of South Indian cinema in the 1950s–1960s. Known for their seamless blend of Carnatic classical roots and catchy folk-pop rhythms, they composed iconic soundtracks for over 100 films, working with stars like M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan. Their partnership, famously called the "Maratha–Madras connection" (Ramamoorthy hailed from Maharashtra), produced timeless melodies that defined a golden era of Tamil film music.
Though their collaboration ended in 1965, their work remains beloved. Recent releases like *Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham (Unplugged)* and *Yaar Antha Nilavu (Cover)* are reimagined tributes to their classics, proving their tunes still resonate.
