Boris Blacher was a German composer born in 1903. He studied music in Berlin and later became a professor of composition at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. Blacher's music is known for its use of atonality, polytonality, and serialism. He wrote a variety of works, including operas, ballets, orchestral pieces, and chamber music. Blacher died in 1975.
