Pinkshift

Pinkshift is an emerging punk rock band that has been making waves in the indie music scene with their fierce and unapologetic sound. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, the group formed in 2018 and is composed of Ashrita Kumar (vocals), Paul Vallejo (guitar), Erich Weinroth (bass), and Myron Houngbedji (drums). Fusing elements of grunge, punk, and alternative rock, Pinkshift's music is characterized by its raw energy, catchy hooks, and the powerful lead vocals of Ashrita Kumar, which often tackle themes of identity, mental health, and personal struggles.

The band made a significant impact with the release of their debut EP "Saccharine" in 2021, which includes hard-hitting tracks like "i'm not crying you're crying" and "GET OUT," earning them acclaim within the underground punk community and a growing fanbase. Each subsequent single has reinforced their standing as one of the exciting new voices in alternative rock, with the 2022 single "Love Me Forever" showcasing their range and adeptness at blending melody with heavy, emotive content. Their authentic and candid songwriting, coupled with a dynamic stage presence, has positioned Pinkshift as a band to watch in the revitalization of the punk genre.
