Pete Berryman

Pete Berryman is a revered British guitarist, composer, and singer-songwriter who emerged on the acoustic music scene in the late 1960s. He first gained notice with The Famous Jug Band, which included Clive Palmer from the Incredible String Band, and quickly built a reputation through collaborations with folk luminaries such as Ralph McTell, Wizz Jones, and Al Stewart. His influential 1971 guitar duet album with John James, *Sky in My Pie*, remains a significant work, showcasing his intricate playing style deeply influenced by Davy Graham's pioneering acoustic guitar techniques. Over the years, Pete toured extensively across Europe, Africa, Australasia, and the USA, and contributed to a variety of projects spanning folk, jazz, blues, and even TV and film soundtracks.
