Silenced Minstrel

**Silenced Minstrel** is a solo project by Saiful Nizam Shukor, born on March 28, 1976, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Silenced Minstrel began playing music in 1991 and co-founded the gothic black metal band HALUN in 1996. After HALUN disbanded in 2015, Saiful launched Silenced Minstrel in 2016, handling all instruments, vocals, engineering, and production. The project explores a diverse range of metal genres, including death, black, and gothic metal, with albums that have shown a consistent evolution in sound. For instance, "Volume 5" featured a return to some of his earlier influences, while "Volume 6: An Ode to a Sickening Year" marked another milestone in his discography. Silenced Minstrel remains unsigned and actively seeks exposure and a wider audience.

The music under Silenced Minstrel has evolved significantly over time, with early albums like "Volume 1" combining melodic elements with thrash and death metal riffs, while later albums, such as "Volume 4," focused on harsher, darker themes with faster tempos. His latest works continue this trend of experimentation and thematic exploration. Saiful Nizam Shukor also works on another project called Shadowed Grace, which is dedicated to New Age Scifi Fantasy Instrumental Synthesizer music.
