Vains of Jenna was a Swedish glam rock band that formed in Falkenberg in 2005. The band was composed of founding members Lizzy DeVine (lead vocals), JP White (bass), Nicki Kin (lead guitar), and Jacki Stone (drums), all hailing from Sweden. They first captured attention with their raw and energetic live performances, eventually leading to a move to Los Angeles to pursue their music careers. Signed initially by Bam Margera's music label Filthy Note, Vains of Jenna made a notable entry into the rock scene with their debut album "Lit Up/Let Down" in 2006.
Their music is characterized by a blend of 1980s glam metal with elements of punk and hard rock, capturing a rebellious and hedonistic spirit reminiscent of that era. Vains of Jenna continued to build their reputation through relentless touring and energetic live shows, releasing a series of records that include "The Art of Telling Lies" in 2009 and the cover album "Reverse Tripped" in 2011. The band also put out other notable releases like "The Demos" and extended plays such as "We Can Never Die Vol.2" and the single "Forget You," showcasing their consistency in producing raw, unpolished rock n' roll. Despite cultivating a dedicated fan base and being part of several high-profile tours, Vains of Jenna announced their dissolution in 2012, solidifying their legacy as a high-octane force within the glam rock revival of the early 21st century.
