Uwe Komischke

Uwe Komischke is a renowned German trumpeter born in 1961 in Schwelm, North Rhine-Westphalia. He began his professional career at the age of 18 as the first solo trumpet player in the Gelsenkirchen Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1983, he moved to the Munich Philharmonic under the direction of Sergiu Celibidache, maintaining the same position. Komischke is celebrated for his solo performances in numerous concerts both domestically and internationally, and he has collaborated with notable musicians such as Yuri Bashmet and Eduard Brunner. He has also worked with ensembles like the Moscow Soloists and has been featured on several CD productions.

Since 1994, Uwe Komischke has been a professor of trumpet at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar. He is known for his exceptional performances, including the recording of Haydn's Trumpet Concerto with the Munich Philharmonic and his interpretations of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. Additionally, Komischke has developed his own series of instruments and published sheet music. His recent releases include collaborations on albums like "Festliche Bläser- & Orgelmusik" and "Meisterwerke für Trompete und Orgel," showcasing his versatility in classical music.
