Dog Faced Hermans were a post-punk/experimental rock band that emerged in the late 1980s, first forming in Scotland and later relocating to the Netherlands. They became known in underground circles for sharp, politically charged songs and an angular, high-energy sound that blended punk urgency with noisy, off-kilter rhythms.
The group released several records in the late ’80s and early ’90s and built a reputation for intense live shows, before calling it a day in the mid-1990s. Members later went on to other projects, including involvement with the Dutch collective the Ex.
