**Korni Grupa** (often stylized as Kornelyans) was a pioneering Yugoslav rock band that shaped the sound of the 1970s Balkans scene. Formed in Belgrade in 1968 by keyboardist and composer Kornelije Kovač, the group blended psychedelic rock, prog elements, and local folk traditions into their music. Known for dramatic vocals and ambitious arrangements, they became famous for hits like "Trla baba lan" (a rocked-up folk cover) and "Moja generacija," which represented Yugoslavia at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest. The band cycled through vocalists like Dado Topić and Dalibor Brun, releasing albums like *Tri palme* and *Edita* before splitting in 1974. Though short-lived, their orchestral rock flair and Kovač’s songwriting left a lasting legacy, with compilations like *The Ultimate Collection* keeping their music alive for new generations of Balkan rock fans.
