Ariane Brisson is a talented flautist known for her captivating performances and refined interpretations. She has been recognized with the "Découverte de l’année" award at the 24th Prix Opus Gala and won the Grand Prize at the Prix d’Europe competition. Brisson has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Trois-Rivières and Drummondville Symphony Orchestras, I Musici, and the Neues Zürcher Orchester in Switzerland. She joined the ensemble Pentaèdre in 2016 and became its Artistic Director in 2019. Additionally, she serves as Principal Flute with the Grands Ballets Canadiens Orchestra and the Orchestre symphonique de Drummondville, and regularly collaborates with Les Violons du Roy chamber orchestra. In 2022, she earned a doctoral diploma from Université de Montréal and released her album *Mythes* with pianist Olivier Hébert-Bouchard.
Ariane Brisson is also an accomplished educator, joining the Université de Montréal's music faculty in 2019. Her work has been supported by several foundations, including the Prix d’Europe Foundation and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. She has performed throughout North America and beyond, showcasing her versatility in both classical and contemporary repertoire, often featuring her own transcriptions like those for Prokofiev and Janáček pieces.
