Riccardo Dillon Wanke is a versatile Italian musician and composer born in 1977 in Genova, Italy. He began studying piano in 1986 and lived in Milan from 1982 to 2005 before relocating to Lisbon, where he currently works. Known for his focus on experimental and electroacoustic music, Wanke’s compositions often revolve around detailed loops, intricate textures, and a deep attention to time and resonance. His 2008 debut album "Caves," released by Sedimental (USA), was highly praised and recognized as one of the best debuts of the year by *The Wire* magazine.

Wanke is also a multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with various experimental musicians such as Giuseppe Ielasi, Stefano Pilia, and David Maranha, among others. His music spans from ambient and minimalistic pieces to more improvisational and richly layered works. His more recent releases include albums like *with time, we learned to ask less* (2025) and *Cuts* (2015), reflecting his continuing evolution in sound exploration and composition.
