Nasrat Al Badr

Nasrat Al Badr, also known as Nasrat Bader Subhi, is a prominent Iraqi composer, singer, and poet who has made a significant impact on the Arab music scene. Born in Baghdad in 1980, he began his artistic journey early, working as a composer and sound engineer from a young age and quickly establishing himself with innovative musical styles and heartfelt performances. His career spans over 28 years, during which he has pioneered new approaches to composing and writing poetry, influencing many artists across Iraq and the wider Arab world. Nasrat is celebrated for his ability to blend traditional Arabic melodies with modern pop sensibilities, creating songs that are both emotionally resonant and widely appealing. His work, such as “wyly” and “Ya Donia,” showcases his talent for crafting memorable tunes and lyrics that connect deeply with listeners.

Beyond his own music, Nasrat has also played a vital role in nurturing young talent and supporting the development of the Iraqi music industry. He has worked with numerous Iraqi art establishments and media channels, eventually founding Nasrat Albader Studios (AL-Bader Foundation for Culture and Media), further cementing his legacy as a leader in contemporary Arabic music.
