Red Dragon, born Leroy May on March 18, 1966, in Kingston, Jamaica, was a celebrated reggae and dancehall deejay known for his distinctive voice and captivating performances. Originally performing under the name Redman, he rose to prominence in the early 1980s and quickly made a name for himself with his energetic style and hits like "Hol A Fresh." Red Dragon was closely connected to the vibrant Jamaican music scene, having honed his craft on sound systems such as Barrington Hi-Fi and Volcano Sound System, which helped launch his career. He is also known as the brother of fellow Jamaican DJ Flourgon.
Throughout his career, Red Dragon released numerous tracks and albums that showcased his blend of classic reggae rhythms and contemporary dancehall vibes. His music remains influential, resonating with fans worldwide. Sadly, he passed away on July 31, 2015, but left behind a rich legacy in the reggae and dancehall genres that continues to inspire artists and listeners alike.
