Jeremiah Fraites

Jeremiah Fraites is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the co-founder, drummer, and pianist of the indie folk band The Lumineers. Born on January 17, 1986, in Ramsey, New Jersey, he began his music career playing the drums and piano in the early 2000s. Following the untimely death of his brother, Joshua, and the subsequent closure of a previous band, Fraites began collaborating with childhood friend Wesley Schultz, eventually leading to the formation of The Lumineers in 2005.

While gaining worldwide fame with The Lumineers, known for hits like "Ho Hey" and "Ophelia," Fraites has also embarked on a solo career, showcasing his instrumental prowess and compositional skills. His solo releases, such as the critically acclaimed project "Piano Piano" in 2021, delve into a more classical and introspective realm, highlighting his virtuosity on the piano with intimate and cinematic pieces. The titles listed, including "Northern (Redux)" and "Heart-Shaped Box (Acoustic)," demonstrate Fraites' exploration of various musical territories, from acoustic reinterpretations to immersive spatial audio experiences. His work, both as a solo artist and with The Lumineers, continues to resonate with audiences seeking authenticity and emotion in music.
