Lauri Supponen

Lauri Supponen is a Finnish composer born in Helsinki in 1988. He grew up in Brussels and later studied composition at prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Music in London, the Universität der Künste in Berlin, and graduated from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki in 2016. Supponen's work spans classical and experimental music, often intersecting with dance, visual art, and theater. He is known for his innovative approach, viewing composition as a form of dreaming alternative structures. His compositions have been premiered by renowned ensembles like Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, and BBC Singers at major festivals across Europe and North America.

Recent releases include "Dwell," "Opus nen," "Eau & gaz à tous les étages (Live)," "Panama," "Gaz aux étages," and "Solsirépifpan," showcasing his diverse musical output. Supponen also performs as an oboist and contrabassist, underscoring his multifaceted involvement in music.
