Jacob Katsnelson is a highly skilled Russian pianist and professor born in 1976 in Moscow. He started piano and flute studies very young, entering the Music School for Gifted Children at the Gnessin Institute when he was just five. He then studied with renowned pianist Elisso Virsaladze at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he later became her assistant. Over his career, Katsnelson has performed extensively across Russia and Europe, both as a soloist and chamber musician, and has participated in numerous prestigious competitions and festivals. He also teaches piano and lieder interpretation, sharing his deep expertise with students.
