Oog Bogo

Oog Bogo is the solo project of Kevin Boog, a Los Angeles-based musician known for his adventurous blend of post-punk, psych, and experimental sounds. Initially starting as a one-man creative force after transitioning from his role as bassist in Meatbodies, Kevin released his first solo EP in 2020, which showcased his taste for lo-fi weirdness and sonic collage. The project evolved with the 2022 full-length album *Plastic*, produced by Ty Segall, marking a move towards a higher fidelity, more polished sound while maintaining that off-kilter, eclectic vibe inspired by post-punk pioneers like Chrome and Pere Ubu.

In 2025, Oog Bogo released a second album titled *Cowgirls* that highlights an expanded band lineup and a shift into heavier, more intense rock territory. With guitarist Gabe Flores, bassist Julian Betts, and drummer Grant Snyder joining Kevin, this record embraces grinding, monolithic guitar tones and a rhythmic punch that reinforces Oog Bogo’s commitment to keeping rock and roll vibrant and dynamic. The band’s combination of experimental intensity and raw energy invites listeners along for a thrilling sonic ride through Los Angeles’ underground scene.

This balance of wild creativity, high-energy performance, and post-punk spirit has positioned Oog Bogo as a unique and evolving voice in contemporary punk and experimental rock.
