STONE AGE UG, born in 2008 in Mulago Hospital, Kampala, is a Ugandan rapper with a background rooted in Masaka District, particularly Kyotera village. She grew up in Kansanga, a suburb of Kampala, with her mother following the early death of her father. Inspired by Senior Sula, who also mentored her, STONE AGE UG began her career with the release of her hit song "Kyekimu" in 2020. This debut earned her three nominations at the 256 HIP HOP AWARDS, marking her as the first young female rapper to be recognized in those categories. She has also been nominated for international awards, including the STARQT AWARDS in South Africa and the CHEER CHOICE AWARDS in the USA.
Her music repertoire includes popular tracks like "Kyekimu," "Dream On," "Koyi Koyi," "Nekolera Gyange," and "Kimala Nekigwa." STONE AGE UG has been recognized as the Best Young Female Hip Hop Star in East Africa by the EastAfrican Fact Files and has won several awards, such as BEST FEMALE HIP HOP ARTIST OF THE YEAR in the UG MTN HIP HOP AWARDS and MOST PROMISING ACT in the AFRICA SOCIAL ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS.
