Meeta Pandit

Meeta Pandit is an acclaimed Indian classical vocalist and a distinguished representative of the Gwalior Gharana, one of the oldest and most revered traditions in Hindustani classical music. She hails from a prominent musical lineage, being the granddaughter of Pandit Krishnarao Shankar Pandit and the daughter of Padma Bhushan Pandit L.K. Pandit. Meeta has carved a space for herself in the world of classical music through her powerful voice, intricate taans, and emotive renditions, and she's widely recognized as the first woman from her family to take up this musical mantle.

Trained rigorously from a young age, Meeta has performed at prestigious venues in India and around the world, showcasing a wide repertoire that includes khayal, tappa, tarana, bhajans, and Sufi compositions. In addition to her live performances and albums like Legends from Gwalior Gharana and Morning Raga, she's also committed to music education and has contributed to spreading awareness of Indian classical music through workshops and media. Her artistry beautifully blends tradition with a fresh, contemporary sensitivity.
